One of the newest camps in the Delta, Machaba is quickly gaining a reputation of having some of the best game viewing in the area and is already a real favourite with Africa Travel staff and clients. The proximity of the Moremi and Khwai Rivers means that there is always abundant game viewing, especially the predators for which Botswana is so well known. The luxurious tented rooms all have outdoor showers and lovely views out into the bush so impromptu afternoon game viewing is always a possibility. The main part of the lodge is a large tented area, hosting the bar, lounge and dining area which is the focus of evenings at the camp. During the day the lovely swimming pool is a perfect place to cool off or enjoy one of the books from Macahaba's extensive library.
Easy access to the game rich areas of the Khwai Concession, fantastic swimming pool area, game viewing from your tents, lovely views over the Moremi and Khwai Rivers.
The central tented area hosts the dining room where all meals are served. Food is hearty and fresh, with the chefs varying the theme every night. Private dining can be arranged in the suites should you wish.
Machaba is made up of 10 tents, with 8 luxury and 2 family units. All tents are set away from the main lodge and have a really classical feel to them to fit in with 1950's style of the camp. Outdoor showers add to the magical feeling of being in the bush.
Children of all ages are accepted and the 2 family tents mean this is an especially good option when travelling with children.
