Set within the Gondwana Canyon Park the lodge is 20km from the main viewing point of the Fish River Canyon and and is set amongst dramatic granite boulders.
The main lodge area that houses the reception, bar, restaurant and curio shop is an old, restored farmhouse overlooking a beautifully well kept garden while the charming stone and thatch chalets are dotted among the rocks and have small terraces from which to enjoy the views of the rocky, desert scenery. The secluded swimming pool also enjoys great views and is a wonderful place to relax.
A comfortable base from which to visit the Fish River Canyon with a great setting amongst the boulders.

As this is a relatively large lodge meals are usually served buffet style and many of the ingredients are locally sourced.
The lodge has 30 stone and thatch chalets nestled amongst the huge granite boulders with some even incorporating the boulders into the walls. Each chalet has a small terrace from which to take in the views.
Children of all ages are welcome at Canyon Lodge and there is one family chalet.
