Nairobi
Originally a railway construction camp, Nairobi is now a bustling cosmopolitan city and the transport hub for travel throughout East Africa. In and around the city are a number of interesting attractions, notably Nairobi National Park, (for those in a hurry who cannot get to one of the other game parks), the Karen Blixen Museum, Daphne Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage and the Giraffe Centre. A wide range of accommodation is available from five-star city centre hotels to boutique properties in the green-leaved suburbs.
