Serengeti National Park
Meaning ‘endless plains’, this is the most famous of the East African parks. 15,000 km2 of wilderness is home to nearly 2 million wildebeest, 200,000 zebra and 2,000 lion.
Only separated from Kenya’s Masai Mara by the border, this magnificent park plays host to the Great Migration each year, when the sight of swathes of animals breaching river crossings are common. A wide range of safari lodges and mobile camps are available, ranging in location from the far north & the Western corridor to the famed Seronera Valley, the heart of the Park.
