Day 2 -3 |
Upon arrival into Zambia you will be transferred to Sanctuary Chichele Presidental Lodge for your two night stay. Discover this historic hilltop lodge, with just 10 suites, in Zambia’s South Luangwa National Park, home to one of the highest concentrations of hippos in the world – there are also lions, leopards and
elephants aplenty. South Luangwa National Park is famous for its walking safaris, so you’ll have plenty of opportunity to branch out. Inside the lodge, a long veranda stretches outside the dining room. From there you can lap up the lovely views down the valley to the Luangwa itself. When it’s warm, dinner is served outside, while on cooler nights, roaring fires promise cosy soirées. Listen out for the roar of lions echoing from the wooded valleys that surround the lodge. In keeping with the rest of Chichele, the suites are decorated in an understated colonial style, with large French windows opening onto private terraces, giving you the ideal vantage point from which to appreciate the wonderful wildlife.

Day 4 - 5 |
Today you will be transferred to Sanctuary Sussi & Chuma for your two night stay. A short drive from the world-famous Victoria Falls, Sanctuary Sussi & Chuma is an exclusive haven in the heart of Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, built on a dramatic bend in the Zambezi. The main lodge includes 12 tree houses, each connected by stilted wooden walkways, but there are also two luxurious two-bedroom houses available. These have their own dining areas and decks with plunge pools, not to mention their own chefs and house staff – perfect for a luxurious family holiday. In addition to the mighty roar of the Victoria Falls, Sanctuary Sussi & Chuma also boasts a wide variety of game, plus countless opportunities for adventure. But there’s plenty of chance to relax – lounge around the swimming pool or the treatment room, or enjoy a drink in the elevated bar, counting yourself very lucky. |
|
Day 6 - 7 |
Today you will be transferred to Sanctuary's Stanley Camp. This intimate camp is situated on a 260,000 acre private concession, bordering the southern section
of Botswana’s Moremi Game Reserve. Gathered around a large sitting and dining area, Sanctuary
Stanley’s Camp offers amazing views over the floodplains of the Okavango Delta. From the swimming pool, you can watch giraffe and other game march across the savannah – you might
even glimpse a rare wild dog. This is also one of the best places in the world to spot large numbers of
buffalo, with herds often exceeding 2,000. Each canvas tent at Sanctuary Stanley’s Camp is individually designed, with an understated elegance that evokes the days of 19th-century explorers.
Large wooden decks provide private areas for guests to relax in hammocks or enjoy cocktails before dinner in the spectacular dining mess. At Stanley’s Camp you can explore Africa from an elephant’s perspective, joining these graceful giants on walking safaris through the bush, sharing in their daily activities of bathing, feeding and play.
