Day 1

Overnight flight from London Heathrow to Johannesburg, followed by your onward flight to the Sabi Sabi Air Strip.

Day 2 - 3

Upon arrival at the Sabi Sabi air strip you will be transferred to Bush Lodge for your two night stay on a full board basis. Located in a prime game-viewing area and offering superb big-5 safaris both in game vehicles and on foot, the thatched suites have private viewing decks which look out over the plains. Accommodation is in a selection of 25 spacious suites, all decorated and accessorised in a contemporary African style while at the same time having every modern convenience including air-conditioning. Each one has an al-fresco shower as well as an indoor glass-fronted shower. The lodge overlooks a waterhole, so often guests can watch game from the comfort of the bar or dining room.

Day 4 - 5

Today you will be transferred back to the Sabi Sabi air strip for your onward flight to Cape Town. Upon arrival in Cape Town pick up your hire car and make the hour and a half scenic drive to Grootbos Private Nature Reserve for your two night stay. Stunningly located overlooking the sea, the unique range of activities include nature drives, horse-riding, walking trails, beach excursions and boat trips to view the seals, sharks and whales. located high above Walker Bay and set amidst 2500 acres of indigenous fynbos, this is a nature lover’s paradise. The milkwood forest is the largest of its kind in the world, and the fynbos has been classified as one of the world’s six flora kingdoms. Offering eco-friendly luxury accommodation with each suite decorated in natural fabrics and colours, and with its own deck or patio as well as a free-standing fireplace. Outside the great wonders of nature await – guided walks through the fynbos, boat trips out to Walker Bay to spot whales, dolphins and a huge colony of Cape Fur Seals, cage diving amongst the sharks, horse riding on the beach as well as nature drives and a special educational programme for children.

Day 6 - 8

Upon checkout today make you will have a five hour scenic drive to Bushman's Kloof Wilderness Reserve and Retreat for your three night stay on a full board basis including game drives. A magical, award-winning luxury ecological reserve. With its stunning location among the sweeping landscape of the Great Karoo and the Cederberg Mountains, it is hardly surprising that it has been declared a South African Heritage Site. Surrounded by great plains, fantastic rock formations and thundering waterfalls, the reserve offers accommodation in cottages within the grounds and suites in the original manor house. While the surrounding game and range of activities are magnificent, so are the rock art sites – of which there are over 130.

Day 9

Drive back to Cape Town airport today to drop off your hire car in time for your overnight flight back to the UK.
