Our Thoughts

This is for those seeking more than just ‘safari’. Situated as it is on the banks of the Mkuze River, in addition to game drives, visits to Zulu villages and walking safaris are possible, but if you time your stay right you can also join one of the unique frog safaris.

Amakhosi Safari Lodge offers several types of accommodation depending on your reason for travelling or how many there are in your group. There are six luxurious River Suites, which are set off from the main lodge. Imagine high ceilings, en-suite bathrooms and your own private balcony which over looks the river. If you are on your honeymoon, the Umntwana Suite is the perfect spot to start off your marital life with an open-plan room and huge bath tub you could almost swim in. If there is a large group of you and want to be a little more secluded the IsiGodlo Private House caters for just that, and hosts an impressive and uninterrupted view across meandering Mkuze River.
