Set in a secluded valley amongst dramatic granite boulders Erongo Wilderness Lodge is a tranquil haven where you can do as much or as little as you like.
You may just want to relax by the pool or sit on the shaded deck of your tented chalet and take in the stunning views but the lure of the mountains and bushveld will be hard to resist. Join one of the guides for a drive to Paula's Cave, site of some outstanding bushman rock art, or take a guided walk to discover some of the flora and fauna of the area.
For those who like to explore on their own there are a number of self guided walking trails and the reserve is home to a huge variety of birdlife that will impress even the most avid birdwatcher.
A little off the normal tourist trail in Namibia, Erongo is well worth visiting for nature lovers, walkers and birders alike.
Delicious, fresh meals including home baked bread and pastries are served in the open plan restaurant overlooking the waterhole.
Erongo has ten luxury tented chalets, simple yet stylish with stone clad bathrooms and built around the rocks and trees. The chalets have shaded decks from which to enjoy the fabulous views of the valley and surrounding granite boulders.
Children of all ages are accepted at Erongo but the tranquil wilderness setting may not be suitable for young children.
