Limalimo is regularly named as one of Ethiopia's best hotels, and with good reason. The lodge is set in Simiens Mountain National Park and is the perfect place to explore the mountains and discover the wildlife which roams the area. The lodge features just 12 suites, which ensures privacy and tranquillity during your stay, and all face west so that you're able to take in wonderful sunsets and views of the wilderness. Local influences and architecture have been implemented in the design of the lodge, providing it with a chic and minimalist feel. The lodge has been built using sustainable materials, primarily with rammed earth, wood and thatch.
The lodge is located just 10 minutes from away from the Simien National Park headquarters, so it's very easy to embark on a fun walk through the stunning, natural landscape, and guided hiking tours through the Simiens Mountains can also be arranged.
The views and service on offer from Limalimo make it the perfect point to start or end your journey through the Simien Mountains.
The Lodge features a total of 14 rooms all of which provide privacy and en-suite bathrooms. The rooms, which have been built to blend in the the surrounding nature, are spread out throughout the 10 hectare reserve. The magnificent floor to ceiling windows allow for beautiful vistas.
The rooms in the lodge are spacious enough to accommodate a family of three, and two of the rooms have a connecting door which is useful for families.
