Nosy Iranja Lodge

Known locally as Turtle Island, Nosy Iranja is private, remote and romantic. When you add a luxury lodge, pristine beaches, natural coral reefs and a tropical climate it all adds up to a near-perfect take on paradise.

Accommodation is in 29 spacious chalets, each with a private terrace or garden, which can be enjoyed from the depths of a deck chair or from the swing of a hammock. Add to this, delicious food and a plethora of water sports, but even more important the island is home to a hawksbill turtle breeding reserve and guests are encouraged to participate in its work and research.

Our Thoughts

Another one of Madagascar’s hidden island gems, located off the island of Nosy Be. Not all of the accommodation lies directly on the beach but aside from the usual water sports the main attraction are the turtles which come ashore to lay their eggs and are aided by the resort’s own tracking and research programme. Guests are welcome to assist and help release the newly-hatched back into the waves – magical.

Nosy Iranja is home to 29 luxurious suites, including 17 Deluxe Suites & 12 Deluxe Family Suites, each completely private with its own veranda overlooking the azure Indian Ocean and coral reef. Simply heaven.

  • Swim with dolphins
  • Partake in a spot of whale watching
  • Dive with sharks
  • Witness both the endangered Hawksbill Turtle and the Green Sea Turtle come ashore to lay their eggs
