National park fees to be paid locally. Nestled among the granite domes of the Matopos Hills is Amalinda Lodge, a peaceful retreat that is very much a part of the environment. The nine thatched rooms and suites combine luxury with the natural environment incorporating the rocks into the structure of the rooms.  The main lodge areas enjoy panoramic views of the hills and guests can relax in the cosy library, choose a wine from the cave wine cellar or take a swim in the pool overlooking a waterhole. Perfect for couples, this intimate lodge has just six rooms and the waterhole and ancient riverbed in front of camp allow close up views of a steady procession of game including the herds of elephant that Hwange is so famous for. Watch out for elephants drinking from the pool!

Zambezi Sands River Camp, Victoria Falls

Today you will travel by road to Victoria Falls and a three night stay at Zambezi Sands River Camp on full board basis with local drinks, park fees and activities included. While you will want to visit the falls themselves and maybe enjoy some of the other activities in the area such as helicopter trips and white water rafting for the adventurous, the camp offers a number of ways to explore the river and the National Park including sunset cruises, canoeing and game drives and walks with an expert guide.
