Depart on the overnight flight from London Heathrow to Cape Town.
On arrival in Cape Town, collect your hire car and make your way to The Cellars-Hohenort where you spend the next three nights. Located in the historical wine making area of Constantia, this beautiful hotel boasts spectacular panoramic views of Table Mountain, and is only a short drive to the city centre with its wealth of activities and world renowned restaurants and eateries. Should you not wish to dine out, the hotel has two award-winning restaurants which will delight in take you on a memorable culinary journey. At Greenhouse you can enjoy a playful tasting menu comprised of local ingredients with a modern twist, while at The Conservatory you can experience the more traditional South African recipes.
Drive through to the spectacular Winelands village of Franschhoek for a two-night stay at Le Quartier Francais. Located in the heart of Franschhoek Village, Le Quartier Francais has a lovely intimate feel to it, providing a “village within a village” feel.
Le Quartier Francais has always been renowned for its food and the culinary experience at Protégé is one of a casual style eatery with a small plate menu, perfect for sharing. At the hotel’s nearby sister property Leeu Estates you will find La Petite Colombe, which regularly features in South Africa’s top five restaurants.
Included in the stay here is a wine tasting at Mullineux and Leeu Family Wines on the nearby Leeu Estates.
Today you drive to Bushman's Kloof for a three night stay complete with nature drives, guided rock art excursions, botanical walks, canoeing, archery, fishing, hiking and swimming.
In the foothills of the Cederberg Mountains this award-winning property is a showcase to two of South Africa’s true treasures. As it is within the Cape Floral Kingdom, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it is covered with numerous species of indigenous fynbos, while it also has access to 130 sites of ancient Bushmen rock art – little wonder guests are seduced and enchanted with this connection to the landscape and to the ancient world. A superb range of activities will keep all members of the family enthralled and entertained.
After a leisurely morning, make your way back to Cape Town airport, arriving in time to drop off your hire car and check in for your scheduled overnight flight to London Heathrow.
