Overnight flight from Heathrow to Durban on British Airways.

Days 2-4Fugitives Drift Lodge

Fugitives Drift Lodge

Morning arrival and collect a hire car at the airport.  Drive to Fugitives’ Drift Lodge for a three night stay on full board basis.  Guided tours to the battlefields of Isandlwana, Rorke’s Drift and Blood River as well as the site of the death of the Prince Imperial at the hands of the Zulus are included during your stay. 

Fugitives Drift is an award-winning lodge filled with memorabilia and artefacts and is renowned for its fascinating and moving tours of the nearby Anglo-Zulu War battlefields of Isandlwana and Rorke’s Drift.

Days 5-7Spionkop Lodge

Spionkop Lodge

Today, drive to Spionkop.  You may wish to stop at the Talana Museum at Dundee and the Ladysmith Siege Museum enroute.  You will stay at Spionkop Lodge for three nights on full board basis.  During your stay you will take guided tours to the Boer War battlefields of Spionkop and Colenso as well as the site where Winston Churchill was captured during the war.

This friendly, family-run lodge is the perfect base to visit the site of the Battle of Spionkop in the company of the lodge’s expert guides.  There are also opportunities for bird watching, game viewing and boat trips at the neighbouring Spionkop Nature Reserve.

Day 8Departure

Departure

Today, drive to Johannesburg airport to return your hire car prior to your overnight flight to Johannesburg on British Airways.
