This classic self-drive tour features the very best of South Africa, where the emphasis is on style and grandeur, and on enjoying some of the finest experiences available. Safari exclusively in the Greater Kruger National Park, before jetting down to Cape Town to spend time in one of the city’s chicest boltholes. Journey into the wondrous winelands to stay in picturesque Franschhoek and then zoom along the famed Garden Route to fashionable Plettenberg Bay. Finish alongside the beach in arguably the country’s finest property – the Oyster Box, a real Grande Dame of a hotel.

Continue to Plettenberg Bay to stay for two nights on bed & breakfast basis at the Plettenberg Hotel.
On a rocky headland with magnificent views of the bay, the five-star Plettenberg offers some of the finest accommodation found anywhere on the Garden Route. The pool area overlooking the ocean is a great place to relax after a day spent exploring the surroundings, whilst guests should be sure to enjoy dinner in the Seafood Restaurant – one of the area’s finest.
Return hire car at George airport and depart on the direct flight to Durban, and on arrival transfer to stay for three nights on bed & breakfast basis at the Oyster Box Hotel.
Perched right above the beach on the edge of the Indian Ocean, this the archetypal luxury seaside hotel. Beautifully designed with wonderful interior features, there is a selection of bars and restaurants, (the daily curry buffet is exceptional), as well as a spa, stunning swimming pool, gym, private cinema, children’s club and a wide range of room types.
Transfer to Durban airport and depart on the flight to Johannesburg, connecting with the direct overnight flight to the UK.
