UK Departure & Hemingways Nairobi

Depart London Heathrow on the daytime flight to Nairobi.

On arrival in Nairobi you will be met and transferred to Hemingways Nairobi for an overnight stay. This beautiful hotel is situated in Nairobi's Karen residential area and has magnificent views of the nearby Ngong hills. A superb blend of modern luxury and colonial elegance, Hemingways offers the ultimate in luxury including personalised butler service and a restaurant that caters for all and claims to have the best steaks in Kenya.

Days 2-4Saruni Samburu, Samburu National Reserve

Saruni Samburu

You transfer back to the airport today arriving in time for your light aircraft flight from Nairobi to Samburu.  On arrival, you will be met and transferred to Saruni Samburu where you spend the next two nights. Perched on top of the Kalama Mountains which gives it amazing 360 degree views of northern Kenya and across to Mount Kenya, Saruni Samburu comprises of six chic and spacious villas, each with the most spectacular views over the Kalama Conservancy and Mount Kenya. The safari experience here is intimate and exceptional, and activities here include game drives and walking safaris, accompanied by Samburu professional guides, a truly remarkable and eye-opening experience.

Days 5-7Elephant Pepper Camp, Masai Mara

Elephant Pepper Camp, Masai Mara

Return to the airstrip today for your light aircraft flight to the Masai Mara. On arrival, you will be met and transferred to Elephant Pepper Camp where you spend the next three nights. Enjoy a true Masai Mara safari experience in this tented bush camp on the northern edge of the reserve. There are just eight tented suites and one family suite, each offering dressing rooms and safari showers.This is a totally eco-friendly experience with no generators, no permanent structures and no passing vehicles; just the sights and sounds of the bush. Discover both the big and smaller wildlife that this incredibly game-rich area has to offer by partaking on game drives in an open safari vehicle or venture out on foot, accompanied by a Masai guide and an experienced walking guide.

Days 8-12Peponi Hotel, Lamu

Peponi Hotel, Lamu

This morning you transfer back to the airstrip and fly to Nairobi to connect with the onward flight to Lamu. On arrival you will be met and transferred by boat to spend the last five nights of your Kenyan holiday at the Peponi Hotel. Family-owned since the 1960’s, this famous property retains its original charm, and has been at the heart of stylish Lamu’s social scene ever since. Relax in style as dhow boats sail effortlessly past - have a dip in the pool, a stroll on the deserted beach or a sublime massage before taking cocktails in the legendary waterside bar and enjoying a sensational seafood supper.
