Originally built in the early 20th century this medieval style castle complete with winding staircases, towers and ramparts was restored and reopened as a hotel in 1990.
Filled with antiques and grand furniture, The Nesbitt Castle is an eccentric place to stay while visiting Bulawayo. Each of its nine rooms are uniquely designed in a historical fashion but with modern comforts such as air conditioning and televisions.
Step back in time as you explore the passageways, towers, lounges and library of this unique hotel.
While a castle with towers, winding stair cases and passageways may seem a bit out of place in the African countryside, The Nesbitt Castle provides a truly unique and fun place to stay. The perfect place to stop over and explore the historic town of Bulawayo.

The hotel offers fine dining in the Coach House Restaurant as well as less formal meals in their Irish pub, and kebabs at The Dragon's Den Grill. High Tea is served every day on the lawns.
The hotel has nine rooms each individually decorated and furnished with antiques and heavy drapes. All rooms have televisions and air conditioning and the ensuite bathrooms mostly have baths rather than showers.
Children of all ages are accepted and some rooms can accommodate a roll-away bed.
