South Africa’s Garden Route is one of the world's most scenic and spectacular driving routes, and this 13 day escorted tour takes in the best that this area has to offer. The route is between Cape Town and Port Elizabeth, driving between the mountains and shoreline with its beaches and bays offering sensational views along the way. Visit Oudtshoorn and the Cango Caves, take a cruise along the serene Keurbooms River and enjoy an unforgettable visit to the Elephant Sanctuary where you get to interact with these gentle giants. The itinerary also includes down time at both Cape Town and the magnificent Victoria Falls at Livingstone, which you can enjoy at your own pace.

Depart London Heathrow on the direct overnight British Airways flight to Cape Town.
On arrival in Cape Town, you will be met and transferred to the Cape Town Hollow Boutique Hotel, where you spend the next three nights on a bed and breakfast basis. The time here is your own to enjoy.
Depart Cape Town and travel along Route 62 to Barrydale for lunch (not included in cost). Continue to Oudtshoorn – the ‘feather capital’ of the world. Visit a working ostrich farm for a guided tour. Check into your accommodation in the late afternoon before enjoying dinner. Overnight Hlangana Lodge (standard room) or similar.
Enjoy a morning tour of the Cango Caves – one of the natural wonders of the world. Continue to the lagoon side town of Knysna – the gem of the Garden Route. Enjoy some time at leisure at the Knysna Waterfront before proceeding to The Crags near Plettenberg Bay. Embark on an informative cruise up the Keurbooms River before arriving at your lodge where you shall spend the following two nights. Freshen up before dinner at the lodge. Overnight Hog Hollow Country Lodge (standard room) or similar.
After breakfast visit Birds of Eden, the largest free-flight bird aviary in the world. Proceed to Hog Hollow Horse Trails for a horse-drawn carriage and wine tasting experience followed by lunch (to own account). Return to the lodge for the remainder of the afternoon at leisure before dinner. Overnight at Hog Hollow Country Lodge or similar.
After breakfast and check-out formalities, journey along the final leg of the Garden Route to the beautiful Tsitsikamma National Park. Enjoy a walk along the suspension bridge across the Storms River mouth gorge which offers visitors incredible views and photo opportunities. Continue on to Port Elizabeth where you overnight at Singa Town Lodge
Transfer to Port Elizabeth Airport today for your flight to Livingstone (via Johannesburg). On arrival you will be met and transferred to the Avani Victoria Falls Hotel where you spend the next three nights on a bed and breakfast basis. Days here are for your own enjoyment.
Transfer back to Livingstone Airport for your return overnight flight to London Heathrow (via Johannesburg)
