Jacana Camp

Few camps in the Delta offer the chance to enjoy both game drives and mokoro safaris all year round, but Jacana is ideally located to do just this. The 5 suites are built on raised decking areas looking out onto the water and make for a great spot to sit and enjoy the abundant bird life of the area. As well as game drives and mokoro safaris, boating trips and fishing can be enjoyed depending on the water levels. The main part of the camp is 2 tiered, with a large dining area upstairs, with the lounge and decking area below. There is a separate relaxation area with hammocks for guests to enjoy as well.

Our Thoughts

The Jao flats are one of the most secluded parts of the Delta and Jacana is ideally located top explore them. For guests looking to enjoy both game drives and mokoro safaris year round this is a perfect option.

  • Swimming pool
  • Outdoor dining area
  • Thatched relaxation area with hammocks

The main dining area is set on a elevated wooded decking area in the shade of a grove of trees. There is also a traditional African Boma where meals are occasionally enjoyed.

The 5 spacious, en-suite tents are all built up on raised decking areas providing stunning views of the surrounding water. The bathrooms are indoor, but they have outdoor showers to enjoy.

  • Game drives
  • Mokoro safaris
  • Birding trips
  • Seasonal boating
  • Fishing trips

A good option for families with 1 family suite offered.
