Mahali Mzuri

Mahali Mzuri is the latest project from Sir Richard Branson which only opened in August 2013. Located in the northern region of the Maasai Mara ecosystem it’s the ideal place to view the annual migration. The camp is perched on the side of a lush valley with views that sweep over the endless plains. 12 luxury tented suites are equipped with everything you could possibly need – including GHD straighteners and an in-tent mini bar. This is a high tech property where iPads are available free of charge but the service is the best around with 41 members of staff to look after you.

Our Thoughts

The newest property in the Mara, Mahali Mazuri is a lovely combination of modern luxury and touches, but in the heart of the African Bush. The guides here are some of the best you will find in Kenya and, with very few vehicles allowed to drive the area, you are assured of a fantastic game viewing experience.

From bush BBQs to champagne picnics to sundowners our team will treat you to a wide selection of African and international menus. All our breads and pastries are baked daily and we also cater for private meals and special occasions. We use locally-sourced produce, flavours and spices to deliver something truly memorable to your stay. In the evenings dinner might be served in the main dining tent, out in the bush or even somewhere private just for two.

There are 12 luxury tented suites catering for a maximum of 24 guests at any one time. They are very unusual looking, almost spaced aged, which clearly has Sir Richard Branson all over it. And the inside doesn’t falter either. Each tented suite will sit on a raised platform and include a spacious bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, sitting area and a large deck with views over the landscape - perfect for spotting the game that will almost certainly wander into view.
