Ongava Tented Camp

Overview

The Ongava Game Reserve is situated adjacent to Etosha National Park on 30,000 hectares of private land, home to both black and white rhino in addition to lions, giraffe, rare black-faced impala and much more.

Ongava Tented Camp's major highlight is the productive waterhole located immediately in front of the camp where animals can be seen at close quarters throughout the day and after dark. The large tents offer space and comfort with ensuite bathroom, outside shower and a shaded deck overlooking the bush.

Ongava's proximity to Etosha allows guests to take game drives in the national park but also to explore the private reserve where it is possible to approach white rhino on foot - a truly exhilarating experience.

Our Thoughts

A wonderful camp with supremely comfortable tents but still with a close to nature feel. The waterhole is just metres from the main lodge area allowing for some fantastic close up game viewing.

The camp has eight tents in total including the two bedroom family unit.  The tents are spacious and beautifully furnished with a covered verandah being the perfect spot to sit and take in the surrounding bush.

Children aged six and older are accepted.  The camp has a family unit consisting of two tents joined by a short wooden walkway.  Families with children under 12 need to take a private vehicle for game viewing.
