Siwandu

Overview

Siwandu enjoys an enviable position on the shores of Lake Nzerakera amidst the unspoilt landscape of Selous Game Reserve. A wealth of animal life is found here including large numbers of elephant, hippo, buffalo and lion and Selous is renowned for sightings of rare wild dogs.

Siwandu is split into North and South Camps with six and seven spacious and traditionally styled tents respectively, each camp having its own swimming pool and a raised bar and lounge area, perfect to catch a cooling breeze and reflect on your latest safari adventure.

Highlights

Our Thoughts

Siwandu has a great position next to Lake Nzerakera with access to some of the best game viewing areas of Selous. The boat safari is a must-do.

  • Swimming pool
  • Lounge
  • Bar
  • Dining area

Meals are served in the raised dining area, in the privacy of your tent or (without giving too much away!) other surprise locations.

Siwandu is split into North Camp with six tents and South Camp with seven. Each octagonal tent is spacious and traditionally styled while all around mesh allows the breeze through and a covered deck provides the perfect place to unwind between activities.

  • Game drives
  • Walks
  • Boat trips

The camp accepts children from six years and up but there are better options for families in Selous.
