Hidden away, these six secluded stone and thatched lodges are as comfortable as they are spacious.
Ideal for couples who really want to wallow in the bush experience, each has large decks and bathrooms with great views across the plains. Two of the suites cater specifically for families and there is a special children’s programme of game viewing, although guests are often surprised and enchanted by being able to view the game directly from the lodge’s deck or pool.
An excellent value-for-money option on the Amakhala Reserve, which offers accommodation in thatched lodges. All the usual game viewing activities are possible, but the wildlife can also often be spotted from those wallowing in the swimming pool.
Food is always one of the great things about safari and the same is true at Woodbury Lodge. Focusing on locally sourced produce, with a contemporary twist, meals here are a real delight. Whilst most meals are taken inside, guests will be able to enjoy at least one dinner under the stars during their stay.
The 6 stone and thatch lodges, including 2 family suites, are lovely and spacious, well furnished with large bathrooms and private decking areas overlooking the plains.
Another good option for children, with 2 family suites meaning children can be accommodated in the same unit as their parents. Activities and meal times can be tailored for families who are travelling with children.
