This is an itinerary which highlights the very best combination of Africa’s bush and beach - created to blend a safari adventure in South Africa with lazy abandonment on the sandy white beaches of Mozambique. After your adventure in the bush, you enjoy an exhilarating helicopter flip and a picture-postcard beach stay on one of the planet’s most photogenic islands. Bliss!
Depart London Heathrow on your scheduled overnight flight to Johannesburg.
On arrival in Johannesburg, you connect with your scheduled flight to Hoedspruit, the gateway to the Kruger National Park. You will be met on arrival and transferred to Simbambili Game Lodge where you spend the next three nights. Simbambili is a small, intimate lodge situated in the Sabi Sands Game Reserve, world renowned for excellent Big Five game viewing. Included in your stay are day and night game drives and bush walks. You can also take advantage of the luxurious accommodation and opt to chill out in your suite, with your own private plunge pool, just the two of you or book in for a spa treatment and totally relax.
Today you transfer to the airstrip for your light aircraft flight to Kruger Mpumalanga where you connect with the onward flight to Vilanculos. On arrival board your helicopter for your transfer over to Bazaruto Island to spend the next seven nights at the Anantara Bazaruto Island Resort.
Located in an archipelago which is in a Marine National Park, this property offers exceptional diving, snorkelling and deep sea fishing – it is a sea lover’s dream.
Guests stay in a choice of beach chalets or in two-bedroom villas, which are ideal for families as they have their own private plunge pool. Add to that a superb white sandy beach, two glorious pools, a stunning cliff-top spa, fantastic food and a very comprehensive selection of facilities and services, and you have the ideal holiday hideaway.
After a morning at leisure, you will be collected and transferred back to Vilanculos by helicopter, arriving in time for your scheduled South African Airlink flight back to Johannesburg. On arrival, there is a short layover before your connecting overnight flight to London Heathrow.
