Emma got a taste of travelling when she was young, she has been travelling all around the world. However, it was in Africa where Emma found her heart. She signed up for the adventure of a lifetime when she explored Tanzania and reached the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro.
Emma now uses her knowledge and passion for this continent to create tailor-made itineraries for travellers who would like to discover the beauty and uniqueness of Africa first-hand.
What is your favourite place in Africa?
My favourite place in Africa has to be the Ngorongoro Crater. The views at the top of the crater are breath-taking but that is only the beginning as there is so much more to see. As you make your descent into the crater you are soon met by an abundance of wildlife with the stunning backdrop of the crater walls.
What is your most memorable experience in Africa?
My most memorable experience in Africa without a doubt is reaching the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro, ready for the most spectacular sunrise I have ever seen. No words can describe the exhilarating feeling of getting to the top after five physically and mentally exhausting days of trekking.
Where would you like to visit next and why?
I would love to visit Rwanda to see the majestic mountain gorillas in their natural environment. I think there is something magical about these creatures and would love the challenge of trekking through the forest to try and catch a glimpse of these gentle giants.
What's your best advice for someone travelling to Africa?
My best advice would be to make sure you don’t just view everything through a lens. There are so many incredible things to see in Africa that you will constantly want to photograph but I think it’s so important to make sure you soak in every sight, smell and sound engaging all of your senses. Photographs are great to have but these memories will last a lifetime.
