2019 has been an exciting year so far with a number of incredible new camps opening across Africa, and many more set to open throughout the year. Here, we preview three of the upcoming openings which we're most excited for.
Loisaba Lodo Springs - Kenya - Opening June 2019
Located in the 57,000 acre Loisaba Conservancy, Elewana's Loisaba Lodo Springs will offer an ultra-private experience with eight individual, spacious tented rooms with impressive views that reach across the magical landscape of northern Kenya stretching out to Mount Kenya.
Service is paramount, with each room assigned an Elewana Guest Ambassador to serve and cater to guests’ every need, as well as a dedicated safari vehicle and a highly qualified Elewana field guide who will accompany guests for the duration of their stay, making this the perfect base for a safari adventure.
Tuludi - Botswana - Opening July 2019
The opening of Tuludi will make it the premiere place to stay for your Okavango Delta experience. The camp is located in the Khwai Private Reserve, over 200,000 hectares of pristine wilderness with floodplains stretching as far as the eye can see.
Tuludi aims to create an image of being enfolded in nature and the serenity and space that comes with it. The camp will contain seven tree-house style rooms, shaded by the cool leadwood trees, sophisticated interiors that mix the contemporary with the traditional, and airy spaces, dotted with intriguing artefacts and treasures from the area.
Deka Camp - Zimbabwe - Opening June 2019
Resting in the far north west of Hwange National Park is Deka Camp. Possibly the most remote camp in Hwange, the area offers guests an opportunity to embark on game drives in some of the wildest areas in Southern Africa. As the camp is located in a private concession in Hwange National Park, there will also be ample opportunity for night drives.
The small camp consists of six units, made of thatch, local rock and canvas and overlooking the Deka floodplains and seeps which are lead to the Deka River.
