A tranquil retreat, designed along the lines of a traditional coffee plantation house, on the shore of Lake Duluti.
The rooms are in stone-built cottages which are clustered around a flower-filled central ‘village square’, which in turn is set in landscaped gardens. Each has its own veranda and curved French windows. The perfect introduction to Tanzania, it is an ideal place in which to relax before or after a safari or to prepare for a climb of the nearby Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain.
Arusha does not offer much for the tourist, but for those obliged to stay there overnight due to flight connections, Arusha Serena Hotel makes for a very comfortable stay. Excursions can be taken onto Lake Duluti or you can just relax and enjoy a spa treatment before your safari adventure begins.

The Hotel has 42 guest rooms accommodated in Banana-stem thatched huts, shaded by tropical trees. They feature marble bathrooms, double French doors leading out into the gardens, leaded windows, a stylish work or vanity area and large and extremely comfortable beds.
