Kariega is a family-run game reserve covering some 10,000 hectares of grassland, woodland, valleys and forest through which two rivers flow. Some of the wildlife you might see includes lions, elephants, buffalos, giraffes and zebras and it is an excellent place to view rhinos.
River Lodge is set right on the bank of the Bushmans River and the lodge makes full use of the water with canoeing, fishing and boat trips on offer in addition to exploring the reserve on game drives and guided walks. A unique activity here is to take a boat trip along the river to the beach at nearby Kenton-on-Sea.
River Lodge offers a brilliant range of activities including canoeing and fishing and even a boat trip to the nearby beach at Kenton-on-Sea.
Blending contemporary design and traditional style, the ten thatched suites are spacious, air-conditioned and have private patios.
Children aged 11 and older are welcome.
