Highlights

Our Thoughts

The capital city’s best hotel, with an excellent fitness centre and outdoor pool. Kigali is a very safe city and the Serena is a only short stroll along wide boulevards from some excellent restaurants and bars, so the advice is to get out and explore the neighbourhood.

  • A choice of restaurants
  • The Executive Lounge and Bar
  • Swimming pool, pool deck and gardens
  • The Maisha Health Club and Spa
  • Gift Shop, news-stand and travel requisites kiosk

There are numerous bars and restaurants to tuck into at Kigali Serena Hotel. The Milima Restaurant serves a buffet breakfast and also lunch and serves as a dinner option. The Sokoni Restaruant is the place to be for Sunday lunch. The bars are great for a pre dinner drink, or a nap cap before bed.

  • The Milima Restaurant
  • Sokoni Restaurant (poolside)
  • Central bar
  • Lounge
  • Piano Bar
  • Mediterranean terrace

There are several different choices of room, but all offer the same distinctive pan-African style, which is warm and inviting.

  • Standard Rooms
  • Deluxe Rooms
  • Superior Room
  • Prime Rooms
  • Studio Suite
  • Executive Suite
  • Presidential Suite
  • Swimming pool
  • Treatments at the spa
  • Gym sessions
  • Cultural art

There is plenty to keep the children occupied, and with specific kids menus and family accommodation, your little ones will have it all. There is also a children’s entertainment area. The hotel has its own swimming pool (supervised by a qualified life-guard but not suited to small children other than under parental supervision); it also has a shallow ‘baby pool'. They also offer:

  • Extensive enclosed gardens with internal goldfish ponds.
  • A selection of books and board games.
  • Proximity to a number of museums, wildlife and cultural sights.
