Little Ruckomechi Camp

Overview

Little Ruckomechi’s scenic location epitomises the largely undeveloped Mana Pools National Park in all its abundance. The camp is all about the intimacy of being close to nature and amongst the iconic albida trees that characterise the area. The camp’s location within Wildernesses' private Ruckomechi Concession ensures an exclusive safari experience in one of the great wildlife areas of Africa. Expect to see plenty of hippos, buffalo and predators.

Built on wooden decks, four handsome en-suite tents are airy and elegant; a reminder of the by-gone explorer era. The living spaces include a dining room and lounge as well as a plunge pool all looking out over the great Zambezi River and the Zambian foothills in the distance.

A wide range of activities are available to guests staying at Little Ruckomechi including traditional game drives, nature walks, river cruises and canoeing.

Our Thoughts

An authentic, exclusive, stylish bush camp, with an intimate “home from home” style and excellent wildlife viewing.

Try the best produce that Zimbabwe has to offer, presented in a good mix of both international favourites and delectable dishes from Southern Africa. Sundowner drinks and meals are often enjoyed away from the camp, in beautiful wilderness settings. At the camp dining area meals are taken together at a communal table.

The camp does not accept children under 6 years old, unless the entire camp is booked exclusively. There is very little to entertain youngsters in between guided safari activities.
