Londolozi Founders Camp

Seven idyllic chalets and three superior suites under the shade of huge ebony trees on the banks of the Sabi River are as inviting as they sound.

Original mahogany beds, military chests, compass safari lamps and deep, deep sofas give this camp all the elements of a traditional African lodge. Family-friendly, the safari activities available include morning and afternoon game drives and bush walks.

Our Thoughts

A nod to the olden times, with military chests, safari lamps and mahogany beds capturing another era. Keen photographers should make a point of pre-booking Londolozi’s custom-built safari vehicle which has been equipped with the very best and latest photographic equipment.

  • Fitness centre
  • Internet
  • Swimming pool
  • Room service
  • Restaurant

As at the other Londolozi Lodges, excellent cuisine is an impressive hallmark at Founders Camp. You will taste an array of dishes freshly prepared by professional chefs and inspired by the most genuine family tradition, served in the communal area or in the privacy of your suite.

Situated among ancient trees along the bank of the river, the 10 chalets at Founders Camp are all decorated in classic safari style. Sumptuously furnished, they feature raised private plunge pools and salas, deck, outdoor shower and air-conditioning. Two of the suites are also inter-leading with a glass skywalk.

  • Photographic safari
  • Game drives
  • Bush walks
  • Community tour
  • Bush dinner
  • Wellness treatments

Founders Camp is children-friendly and accommodates kids over the age of four. Like the ‘cousin’ Varty Camp, it comprises full programmes designed for young  travellers. Kids over six can take part in the game drives if accompanied by their parents, while for families with younger children there is a private vehicle available with a tailor-made safari experience.

They can also join The Cubs Programme, where they can par-take in various activities and work shops such as:

  • Paper Mache
  • Candle Making
  • Baking
  • Spoor identification
  • Bird watching
  • Bug catching
  • African dance
  • Bead making
  • Singing & drumming
  • Gumboot dancing
  • Dung Spitting
  • Fishing
  • Shooting
