Zanzibar Palace Hotel

Zanzibar may conjure exotic images of white sand beaches and spice plantations but the capital Stone Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, offers the visitor a dose of history and culture. The Zanzibar Palace Hotel is located amongst the atmospheric, winding streets and within walking distance of the colourful markets and museums.

Occupying an early 20th century house, this boutique hotel has just nine rooms with furniture and design inspired by some of the many cultures that have shaped Zanzibar over the centuries. A welcoming and historical heritage hotel from which to explore Stone Town.

Our Thoughts

A friendly, heritage hotel in the midst of Stone Town's atmospheric alleyways.

  • Bar
  • Restaurant
  • Spa treatments

The Palace Restaurant serves breakfast and lunches while dinner is a gastronomic affair with high quality dishes, many of which make use of the freshest fish and seafood.

Each of the hotel's nine rooms reflect the island's rich and varied heritage with traditionally styled and antique furniture, Persian rugs and colourful silks. All rooms have ceiling fans, air conditioning and TVs and some feature balconies or large bath tubs.

  • Touring Stone Town's markets, museums and alleyways
  • Boat trips
  • Spice Tours
  • Jozani Forest

The hotel accepts children of all ages.
