Fly overnight from London Heathrow to Nairobi
Morning arrival and connecting flight to Dar es Salaam. Clear immigration, collect your luggage and make your way through to the Arrivals Hall. There you will be met and escorted to the check-in area for your short Coastal Aviation flight down to the Siwandu Airstrip in the Selous Game Reserve.
From the airstrip you will be taken on the short game drive transfer through the park to Siwandu Camp where you will be spending the next 3 nights. After lunch and some time to relax you will meet with your ranger and fellow guests for afternoon tea before heading out on a game drive to explore the beautiful and game rich Selous Game Reserve.
In addition to your morning and afternoon game drives, you will be able to enjoy guided walks and boat cruises on the Rufiji River during your stay at Siwandu.
This morning begins with a game activity after which you will enjoy breakfast in the lodge before being transferred back to the Siwandu Airstrip for the Coastal Aviation flight to the Ruaha Game Reserve. You will be met at the Jongomero Airstrip and transferred through the reserve to Jongomero Camp where you will be spending the next 3 nights.
Again you will be able to enjoy lunch and some time at leisure to relax before starting your game viewing activities in Ruaha. As with Siwandu, you will be able to enjoy both game drives and guided walks (over 16's only) on routes that were developed by the guides from Jomgomero so you get a truly unique experience. There is also the possibility to enjoy overnight "fly camping" in the reserve which is an amazing way to get close to the bush and enjoy this beautiful, unspoilt reserve.
Enjoying a last morning activity in the Ruaha, you'll then have breakfast at the lodge you will be transferred back to the airstrip for the Coastal Aviation flight back to Dar es Salaam. There you will be met and transferred by road (about 90 minutes) down to Ras Kutani where you will be spending the next 5 nights.
Here you will be able to relax after what will have been a busy safari circuit and enjoy the peace and tranquillity of this lovely property. If you are feeling active then you can enjoy snorkelling, kayaking, boogie boarding and walks along the beach as well as walks in the forest behind the camp. If you are travelling at the correct time of year there may also be the chance to see the Sea Turtle Nests which are found on Ras Kutani Beach hatching which is an amazing way to round off a memorable trip (season for green turtles is April to May and for hawksbills is December to January).
After enjoying the morning at leisure, you will be taken by road this afternoon to Dar es Salaam to board your overnight flight to Amsterdam.
