Little Chem Chem

Overview

Little Chem Chem offers all of the virtues of it's larger sister camp Chem Chem, but with a more laid back and communal feel to it. Guests are encouraged to dine together, although private dining can be arranged on request.

The camp is a little less luxurious than Chem Chem and doesn't have a swimming pool, but with the wealth of activities on offer there isn't much time for sitting around and relaxing!

This is a great option for families that are looking to be active, engage with like minded safari goers and enjoy the special location and extraordinary wildlife for which the camps have become so well known.

Highlights

Our Thoughts

Little Chem Chem offers all of the advantages that its sister lodge Chem Chem does, but being slightly smaller is more suited to families. It is also a great option for medium sized groups looking to take over their own space and tailor their safaris to their exact specifications.

  • Main lounge area
  • Bar
  • Dining room

As with Chem Chem, the food here is superb and supported by an excellent wine list. In general meals are taken communally but private dining can be arranged upon request. Picnic lunches are provided when enjoying day trips to Tarangire.

Little Chem Chem is made up of 5 tents each holding a maximum of 2 guests. The tents have gauze on the windows and fans so are very cool even in the heat of summer as a lovely breeze comes through. The indoor bathrooms are favoured by families. Rooms are powered by solar generated electricity and there is a back-up generator as well.

  • Day drives
  • Night drives
  • Bush walks
  • Trips to Tarangire National Park
  • Hot air ballooning on request

Children are welcome from age 10 and above, but those aged 12 and under must share a tent with their parents.
