Widely-regarded as one of Africa’s premier safari destinations, Botswana is home to a number of incredible National Parks & Game Reserves, and has arguably the highest concentration of big cats found anywhere on the planet.
To help you plan your holiday to Botswana, our Africa expert Simon has put together a short guide on everything you need to know about travelling to Botswana in the 'new normal'.
All passengers must have a negative PCR result not older than 72 hours from the time of your arrival to be allowed entry into Botswana. All passengers will be screened on arrival for Covid symptoms.
Travellers not showing Covid symptoms do not need to quarantine on arrival and can proceed with their planned itinerary. Travellers must however complete a self-declaration screening form and provide contact information for their stay in Botswana to the local health authority.
There are no such restrictions but tourists are expected to follow social distancing and hygiene measures.
Covid-19 prevention measures have been implemented by the government including the mandatory wearing for face coverings and maintaining social distance.
For travellers who have been to Botswana in the previous 10 days entry to the UK is not permitted except for British and Irish passport holders, long term visa holders and permanent residents, all of whom will be required to self-isolate.
